Zoo Hours of Operation

The Racine Zoo is open year round. Please note that admission/entrance gates close prior to the official Zoo closing time. 

January 1st - March 31st

9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., last admission at 4:00 p.m.

April 1st - May 24th
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., last admission at 5:00 p.m.

May 25th - September 3rd
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., last admission at 7:00 p.m.

September 4th - October 31st
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., last admission at 5:00 p.m.

November 1st - December 31st
9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., last admission at 4:00 p.m.

**Special Note:  Our emperor tamarin family will be off exhibit until April 1 due to a maintenance issue.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Children 2 and under - FREE

Adult $4.00
Senior (62 and older) $3.50
Child (15 and younger) $3.00

 Children under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

PARKING IS FREE! Parking lots are located on the corner of Walton and North Wisconsin, and a small lot is adjacent to the main entrance of the Zoo.  Street parking is also available.

Racine County Residents

Racine County residents receive half off all regular admission rates with valid photo ID on Wednesdays, April 30 through October.

Racine County residents with valid photo ID receive FREE Zoo admission on the following days:

*Thanksgiving Day
*New Year's Day

**The Zoo is closed on Christmas Day 


In honor of serving, all Veterans receive FREE admission on Veterans Day.

The Racine Zoo honors the Purple Heart Pass.
