Current COVID-19 Policy

**Please note these precautions are TEMPORARY and will be lifted once it is safe to do so. Changes can occur at any time.

 

Masks are optional on campus EXCEPT masks are REQUIRED in the following areas regardless of age or special exemption to protect susceptible animals:

  • Barnyard Safari
  • Norco Aviary Bird Encounters
  • North Shore Bank Giraffe Encounters
  • Inside Vanishing Kingdom (main building with orangutans)

 

Sanitation

  • We will have hand sanitation stations strategically located throughout the Zoo.
  • Bathrooms, the Zootique Gift Shop, and other high-touch areas will be sanitized regularly throughout the day.

 

Number of Guests/Social distancing

  • Social distancing among all Zoo staff and guests is vital. Although there are no restrictions on guests on property during regular operating hours, there may be limits in order for us to maintain appropriate social distancing guidelines

 

Feeling unwell?

  • If a guest feels sick before visiting, we ask that they not visit the Zoo.

 


The Racine Zoo is open year round. Please note that admission/entrance gates close prior to the official Zoo closing time.

10AM to 5PM, last paid admission at 4:30PM

September 7, 2021 – May 27, 2022

Special Closing Dates

Sunday,
July 18, 2021
The Zoo will be closed all day for a private function.
Saturday,
December 25, 2021
The Zoo will be closed on Christmas Day.
 

Regular Admission Rates:

Children 15 and younger need to be accompanied by a paying adult.

Racine County residents receive $1 off regular admission prices by showing a valid photo ID.

Parking

PARKING IS FREE! Parking lots are located on the corner of Walton and N. Wisconsin, and a small lot is adjacent to the main entrance of the Zoo. Street parking is also available.


Veterans

In honor of serving, all active and non-active veterans receive FREE admission on Veterans Day.

*Must show ID and applies only to veteran, not group rate. 


NOTICE OF PHOTOGRAPHIC AND MEDIA RECORDING: When you attend the Racine Zoo, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering such premises, you consent to such recording media and its release, exhibition, publication, or reproduction to be used for promotional purposes.
